Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) — Mike Leach was fired as football coach at Texas Tech University after allegations he mistreated a player who was diagnosed with a concussion. School officials said they notified Leach’s attorney of their decision before the two sides were to appear in a Lubbock, Texas, courtroom for a hearing on the coach’s suspension.
